ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾರತದ ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಗಡಿಪ್ರದೆಶವಾದ ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಅದಮ್ಯ ಚೇತನ. ಜೀವನಾಡಿ ಎನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಲಿಂಗಾಯತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ೧೯೧೬ ರಲ್ಲಿ ಜನ್ಮ ತಾಳಿತು. ಜಗದ್ಗುರು ಗುರುಸಿದ್ದೆಶ್ವರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ತರಬೇತಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು(ಡಿ. ಎಡ್.ಕಾಲೇಜ)ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಕೆ.ಎಲ್.ಇ. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಂಗ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಪ್ತಶ್ರೀಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್. ಬಸವನಾಳ. ಶ್ರೀ ಎಮ್.ಆರ್ ಸಾಖರೆ. ಶ್ರೀ ಬಿ.ಬಿ. ಮಮದಾಪುರ. ಶ್ರೀ ಎಚ್.ಎಫ್.ಕಟ್ಟಿಮನಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ಪಿ.ಆರ್. ಚಿಕ್ಕೋಡಿ. ಶ್ರೀ ಬಿ. ಎಸ್. ಹಂಚಿನಾಳ. ಶ್ರೀ ವ್ಹಿ. ವ್ಹಿ. ಪಾಟೀಲರ ತ್ಯಾಗ. ಸಮಾಜಿಕ ಕಳಕಳಿ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಪಾರ ಪ್ರೇಮದ ದ್ಯೋತಕವಾಗಿ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯಿಂದ ತಲೆಯೆತ್ತಿ ನಿಂತ ಈ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಇಂದು ಬ್ರಹತ್ತಾದ ಮರವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಟೊಂಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ನಿಂತಿದೆ. ಕ್ರಿ.ಶ.೧೯೧೬ ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಗೊಂಡ ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಇಂದು ೨೧೦ ಅಂಗ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿ ಏಶಿಯಾ ಖಂಡದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಮುಕುಟಮಣಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಂಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಶಿಶುವಿಹಾರದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿ ಸ್ನಾತಕೊತ್ತರ ವರೆಗಿನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ, ಅಭಿಯಾ೦ತ್ರಿಕ, ಕೃಷಿ ಮು೦ತಾದ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನಬಾಹುಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿ ಇದೀಗ ಸ್ವಾಯತ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಲಯವಾಗಿ ರೂಪಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಇದರ ಆಡಳಿತದ ರುವಾರಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ ಕೊರೇಯವರು ಕೆ.ಎಲ್.ಇ. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದ್ಯಕ್ಷಕರಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಾಯತ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಕುಲಪತಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ಶಶಿವಾನಂದ ಕೌಜಲಗಿಯವರು ಕೆ.ಎಲ್.ಇ. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅದ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ, ದಕ್ಷತೆಯಿ೦ದ ೧೫ ಜನ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಲಳಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರ ಕಾರ್ಯದಶಿಯ ಹಾಗೂ ೩ ಜನ ಸ೦ಯೋಜಕರ ಸೇವೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಹಕಾರದಿಂದ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿಗೆ ಶ್ರಮಿಸುತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Now Shri B.B. Nayak is working as Incharge Principal with three regular staffs and a part time teacher well qualified and experienced lecturers are working here. There are 4943 books in our library.well equipped science laboratory and psychology lab are there in our Institution.Most of the student teachers who trained in our Institution are working as teacher in different places of Karnataka. The Education commissioner principal of DIET Dharwad, concerned officers of DSERT, members of Board of management and eminent educationists visited to our Institution. Last year our college result is 100%. In this way our Institution Properly known as one of the best Institutions in Karnataka.
KLE Society the largest educational Society in Asia is in the field of Education in India and abroad. Its beneficiaries are spread all over the world our society doesn’t Simply quote the words of its motto “satya, Prema, Seva and swarthtyaga” but it has practiced them all through its existence and expansion.
In dark days of British rule when higher education was a challenge to the people of North Karnataka the K.L.E Society was founded in the year 1916 by seven dedicated teachers. Shri S.S. Basavanal, Shri H.F. Kattimani, Shri M.R Sakare, Shri B.B. Mamadapur, Shri P.R Chikkodi, Shri B.S. Hanchinal and Shri V.V. Patil who dedicated their lives to the cause of education. Today we call them “ Saptarishis” Inspired by the ideal of the founders of the Deccan Education Society Pune and under the patronage and able guidance of Rao Bahadur, R.C. Artal, sardar V.G. Naik Bahadur Desai of chachadi and shri A.V. Anigol the galaxy of grave youths resolved to begin an educational society of their own. Thus KLE Society came as a boon to those educationally starved people of North Karnataka.The KLE Society Belgaum, the pioneer in the field of Education felt that there was no TTI in North Karnataka as early as 1947.In order to what the thirst of aspirants the Society Started its Training Institute at Gadag District in 1947.
There was no Private TTI in North Karnataka and Society filled this gap by starting the T.T.I in the premises of late Shri Holeyappa Bullar at Gadag District . Under the able leadership of late Shri B.S. Hanchinal two TTI were established in North karrnataka , SSB TTI Belgaum and JGTTI Hubli , and late Shri B.S. Hanchinal worked in both the Institutions as Principal for some time in 1948 JGTTI was Shifted to Hubli and started its Classes at holy Place of Shree Moorusaviramath at Hubli under the blessings of Shri Gurusiddarajayogendra swamy. So this Institution named after Jagadguru Gurusiddeshwar Teachers’ Training Institute, then this Institute conducted classes at J.G Commerce College Vidyanagar Hubli for some time . Then 1978 this Institution Shifted to its own building at B.V.B Campus Vidyanagar, Hubli.
Late Shri B.S. Hanchinal Shri H.F. Hulkoti, Shri V.B. Lokhapur, Shri S.D Inchal, Shri B.F. Pattanashetti, Shri S.V Desai, Shri B.G Turamari, Shri G.P. Kambi, Shri S.S. Matapathi, Shri P.H. Vaidya, Shri A.G. Amarshetti, Shri K.G. Hiremath, Shri S.D Inchal, were worked as teachers and as well as Principals of this Institution. Shri B.S.Gavimath former LM also worked as Principal for 1999 to 2005. The Old TCH course changed as D.Ed (Diploma in Education) in 2002. According to New Syllabus Eligibility to admission is PUC. Minimum qualification, 50% for General 45% for S.C/ S.T /CI admission ratio is 25:75 Management and Government respectively. CAC ( Central Admission Cell) is allotting Students, DSERT look after the administration and KSSEE Board Conducting Examination.
This Institution is recognized by NCTE with eight Sanctioned posts and 30 students Intake Capacity. This Institution has its own practicing school in its premises.
